Thieves sneak into parking garage at The Lakes, steal bikes

Police are looking for thieves who accessed the parking garage last month at Sitara on the Pond in The Lakes and stole two pricey bikes.

On Dec. 1, 2022, a black GMC Terrain drove into the parking garage at the Lake Country condo behind a departing vehicle.

“The two occupants, a male and a female, spent over an hour casing out the parkade,” says Crime Stoppers.

Then on Dec. 5, the man came back—this time with a second male. One of the suspects waited for a delivery person and gained entry.

“Once inside the parking garage they left with a GT Verb Mountain bike and a Volt Yukon 750 Ebike,” says Crime Stoppers.

They are also suspects in another Lake Country crime from Dec. 7, 2022.
