One of the most popular places to visit in the Okanagan is the Kangaroo Creek Farm.

It’s fun to wander among the kangaroos and wallabies, as well as visit with a variety of other animals, including emus, snakes, and peacocks.

We recently visited the farm, which has moved from its previous location in Lake Country to much more spacious digs near the Kelowna International Airport.

Here’s a gallery of images:

Ready for his close-up! The emus were happy to approach visitors who came to the fence to gawk. They let out a low growling noise. We weren't allowed to touch them because avian flu is spreading in the province.

From May to August, the farm is open seven days a week, including the holidays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It’s located at 5932 Old Vernon Road.
