March events in Lake Country: Have your dessert

Cream Puff weekends are here at Arrowleaf Cellars.

Events this month in Lake Country include some culinary fun, some ‘Arrogant’ music at Creekside, and time spent on ice.

Do you have a sweet tooth?

Arrowleaf Cellars is having a Cream Puff Weekend starting the first weekend of March and running until Thanksgiving.

Housemade cream puffs will be available for $8 each every Saturday and Sunday, with rotating flavours. First-come, first-served, so get there early as they sell out quickly.

The winery is located at 1574 Camp Road in Lake Country.

If gummies are more your jam, Rose Hill Orchard & Bees To Berrys Farm is hosting an Elderberry Syrup & Gummies Workshop on March 18.

It’ll be hands-on, in-person workshop all about elderberries. Participants take home a 250ml bottle of syrup and a bag of gummies. The cost is $75. Here’s the eventbrite.

There’s a lot of entertainment in March at Creekside Theatre.

Iconic Canadian band Sloan is returning to the Okanagan, playing to a sold out crowd at Creekside Theatre on March 7. Get Tickets & More Info

Like a carbon copy of Janice Joplin herself, Janice Lives is a trip back into the land of rock and psychedelic blues. That show is on March 30. Get Tickets & More Info

There is also a competitive dance showcase on March 26 and a community movie night fundraiser for GESS grads on March 10.

Public Skating at Winfield Arena

For affordable family fun, there’s free public skating two days a week at the Winfield Arena. It happens Wednesdays from 7 p.m.-8p.m. and Fridays from 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. There are no helmets or rentals available.

For a little more pep in your step, the DJ Skate is on Fridays from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Skate under strobe lights to a live DJ’s music. It’s cash only at $2 for those 8-17 years old and $4 for adults.

A different event on ice March 4 is at the Winfield Curling Centre, which is hosting the Brr Buns Curling Bonspiel. It’s a ’90s theme.
