$46 million stretches a little further in real estate

What kind of house will $46 million get you these days?
With the housing market cooling off, you can make a few dozen million stretch even further now than a year ago.
For example, a real estate listing at 12391 Pixton Road in Lake Country (the same street where the highest assessed home in the region is located) has been reduced by about $10 million from a year ago.
Entry to the property, which is dubbed ‘The Waterside Farm,’ is through a secure gate, and the route to the home meanders past acres of peach orchard.
Built by Legacy Homeworks, the main house has nearly 25,000 square feet of space. It’s located on 8.5 acres with 850 feet of shoreline, eight bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, four fireplaces, two attached garages (with covered parking for 10 vehicles), and an in-ground pool.
The main living space is 20,300 sq. ft. and there is also a 4,000-sq.-ft. guest wing.
“This one-of-a-kind property exudes a true ‘Zen’ experience on arrival allowing the senses to immediately relax from the ‘hustle and bustle, of everyday living,” says the listing from Jane Hoffman Realty.
“A tastefully designed landscape compliments the natural stone and wood exterior, manicured gardens, raised beds, pathways that lead to poetic retreats, creative hardscape and points of relaxation have been thoughtfully integrated throughout this estate.”
Tara Sullivan Woll of Red Crayon was instrumental in the styling and design.
The property also includes a 1,800-sq.-ft. caretakers residence.
